MARCO
Marine Pumps
Electric marine pumps made in Italy by MARCO since 1970, for bilge, fresh water, deck wash, diesel and oil. Distributed in the US and Canada by Mate USA.
Every boat depends on fluids that have to be moved: rain and spray that end up in the bilge, fresh water for the galley and the shower, salt water to rinse the deck, diesel and oil for the engine. MARCO has been building the electric pumps that do this work since 1970, in its own plant in Castenedolo, near Brescia in northern Italy, and today exports to more than 80 countries. Mate USA brings the marine range to boat builders, chandlers and service yards across the United States and Canada.
Down in the bilge, compact submersible pumps in corrosion-resistant ABS housings wait for the water to rise, and a mercury-free float switch can start them automatically. Where water has to be drawn from further away, for bilge, grey water or ballast, self-priming impeller pumps pull it up on their own, with filtered brush holders that keep electrical interference away from the electronics at the helm.
On the fresh-water side, MARCO's electronic pressure pumps are the ones owners notice. Instead of slamming on and off, the pump reads the line pressure and adjusts its speed: the shower stays steady, the motor starts softly and, in most installations, there is no accumulator tank to find room for. The same technology drives deck-wash kits with hose and jet gun for salt or fresh water.
In the engine room, bronze-gear pumps move diesel and antifreeze, dedicated versions handle lubricating oil, and electronic models switch between a fast diesel setting and a slow oil setting from a small control panel. Ready-made kits and fixed systems turn an engine, generator or gearbox oil change into a clean, closed-circuit job, and vane pumps take care of diesel refueling. Most models come in 12 V and 24 V, several are 12/24 V universal, and selected versions run on 110 V or 230 V AC.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy MARCO marine pumps in the USA?
Mate USA distributes MARCO pumps through authorized distributors across the United States and Canada. Use Distributor Search, browse by region, or contact Mate USA — see Where to buy on this page.
Which pump should I use for fresh water on board?
Electronic UP/E pumps such as UP3/E or UP6/E are the usual choice: self-priming and automatic, with built-in check valves and electronic pressure control, typically without an accumulator tank. Exact flow and pressure are in the catalog.
Can one pump transfer both diesel and oil?
Some can. Electronic UP-E-BR pumps ship in a high-speed diesel setting and switch to low speed for oils through the SCS panel. Dedicated UP/OIL pumps and reversible OCK kits are also available.
Where do I find pump specifications and model codes?
Download the Pumps & Signal Horns catalog for models (including UP3, UP12, M164-series part numbers), flow rates and electrical data, then confirm the latest sheet with Mate USA.
